Riseholme Park Getting to know the parkland

Riseholme Countryside Code

Welcome to Riseholme Park. Our Countryside Code will help inform you of how to access the Parkland in a safe and enjoyable way, without impacting on farming, research and wildlife on the estate.

- Please keep to paths and don’t walk across fields as this can disturb livestock, wildlife such as ground nesting birds and damage crops.

- Please leave wildflowers, bird eggs, nests and dens undisturbed, if you see something of interest, you can take a photo and record it using the iNaturalist app or share on the Lawress Hall Community Site.

- Please take your rubbish with you, leave no trace of your visit.

- Leave gates and property as you find them or follow instructions on signs.

- Give wild animals, livestock and horses plenty of space. If you think an animal is in distress, please contact the Riseholme Farm team.

- Do not feed livestock, or wild animals as it can cause them harm.

- No campfires or disposable BBQs are allowed on the estate.

- Dogs must be always on leads on site and should only be walked on the permissive footpaths and the public bridleway. Read the University of Lincoln – Animals on Campus Guidance

- We welcome visits to the farm, but please organise these in advance.

- Please do not swim in the lake.
